Want to get out of the house? Wondering where to go on the Coast to make new friends and entertain your kids? Try our free community playgroup program!

As local mums, we know life at home with littlies is full of joy. And mess, and tiredness, and sometimes even loneliness. We’ve been there, and we know some days are really hard. And some days you just need a friend to talk to, fresh activities for the kids to explore, and a change of scenery (that’s not too far from home!).

Who’s It For?

Community Playgroup at Gosford PC is for any parent or carer of kids 5 and under, who wants to find an easy way to make the most of raising little ones. We meet once a fortnight during school terms and offer:

  • Indoor play activities with a range of toys for babies, toddlers and preschoolers
  • Craft for little hands to enjoy
  • A short Bible story time
  • Fun songs to sing along to
  • Morning tea
  • Time to chat with our friendly team of volunteers

Playgroup is perfect for anyone who needs a little bit of company and a friendly space to let the kids explore and play.

You don’t have to have a church background to attend. And it’s not only for mums: dads, grandmas, grandpas, and carers are all very welcome to join in too.

Here’s what a typical Community Playgroup session looks like:

Sessions start at 10am. Arrive and say hello! Lizzie is our Team Leader and she’d love to welcome you in.

Kids can explore the activities. Maybe they’d like to zoom some cars around a track, or make a house out of the large foam blocks. Or they can cook up a storm in our play kitchen.

Try some craft – play dough, painting, gluing – all the messy things!

Then, join us on the mat for a Bible story and some fun songs. Wave you hands and clap along!

Morning tea is served – fruit, cheese and crackers for children, and a slice or cake for the grown ups.

We finish at about 11.30am with a quick pack up time.

It all takes place in our large indoor hall, so you don’t have to worry about the weather. There’s plenty of parking right at our doorstep, and our facilities include a kitchen, bathroom and change table.

We don’t charge anything and there’s no big commitment – just come along on the fortnights that work for you.

Come along and try a session! Term 1 2025: 11 Feb, 25 Feb, 11 Mar, 25 Mar, 8 Apr. Sessions start at 10am.

Send a message below to let us know when you’ll be coming along for the first time. We’d love to see you there!
