We all need encouragement. As Christians, we want to anchor our lives in God’s word and disciple on another. And, we know we should be helping people we meet to get to know Jesus too.
But putting this into practice can be really tough. We can find it hard to know who to ask, or to know who needs an encouraging conversation. Talking about faith can end up feeling pretty awkward if we don’t know what to say.
And maybe, we’re just not sure where to start.
Women’s Training Afternoon
We warmly invite you to join us for a training afternoon, to learn one simple thing that can really make a difference.
It’s called One to One Bible Reading. And it’s all about not trying to do it on your own!

What Is It?
One to one Bible reading involves opening the Bible with someone, and following some easy steps to read a short section together.
It’s a great skill to learn if you want to disciple and mentor others, share the gospel, or gain encouragement for your own Christian journey. This is a habit that can build connections, strengthen your faith and spur others on.
We’d love to share it with you.

What’s included?
Join us for an afternoon training session to learn:
- Accessible and simple one to one Bible reading methods you can try with family and friends
- The value of stepping into this skill, so you can effectively disciple others and share the gospel (without having to plan for ages or trying to remember tricky techniques)
- How it can help grow your faith, and others too!
You’ll get a chance to try it out with others during the training. And if you’re interested, you can make connections with others from church who would like to meet up to read the Bible one on one in term 2.
We’ll share a light afternoon tea as well.
How Do I Join In?
Pop 4th May in your diary now. We’re meeting in the church foyer (at 14 Young Street West Gosford) from 2.30pm – 4pm. There’s no need to RSVP, just come along. Bring a friend or your Growth Group along to join in.
This training is suitable for women of all ages, who want practical ways to develop their faith, practise discipleship, and encourage one another.
We’d love to see you there!
